Age range services are provided for

We have clinicians who serve children, teens, and adults. Our mental health workshops are typically open to all ages, the exception being Worthy's Workshops are for ages 13-25. Exceptions apply.

Do you allow minors to participate in your programs/events?

Yes, most of our workshops and programs are for ages 13-19. We also have licensed therapists who specialize in working with children and youth who are underage.

Parental consent for minors

Our policy is to always require a parent or guardian's written consent when their underage student requests to join any workshop, event or program. The only exception to this is our public-facing social media engagement and livestreams, where we assume the parent has already given the minor permission to access various social media channels that we're active on.

Privacy

Eden Valley clinicians and its related services are HIPPA compliant as required by law, and all interactions and personal data of social work services are confidential, within the parameters and compliance of federal and local laws.

Evolve and other brands at Revolution Youth adhere to local and federal laws regarding minors and their privacy. We provide a safe and healthy environment where we honor an individual's privacy by safe guarding their information. We do not sell or give away anyone's data or personal information without their consent, unless required by law.

Media consent of individuals / guardians

Children, youth and young adults should always feel safe and respected when in our care or service in any capacity. Their parents should also feel connected to what's going on, and confident that their child is in professional care.

Many of our events require a media release, where a person's image or video including this person may be posted publicly or used for promotional content. None of the people(s) in any of our public media should be a minor, except for those granted written permission from their parent or guardian. We're always up front about any of our meetings, events or calls that are being photographed or recorded. If we make a mistake, please don't hesitate to contact our team immediately to request that media be taken offline.

Working with Minors

We work with minors quite often as we're a youth organization. We have established a strong reputation of having the utmost integrity and policies that ensure every single minor and person we work with are respected, honored and cared for with utmost integrity and professional support.

A. We run professional background checks on every single volunteer and staff member who is going to be working in any direct capacity with minors. We do not allow one-on-one's, except for our licensed social workers who have undergone extensive training and review.

B. We do not record or photograph minors without prior written permission of a parent or guardian. If a mistake is made (for example at a large event where dozens of people are included in an image or video) please let our team know and we'll immediately take this content offline.

C. All events, workshops and programs that allow minors to attend require parent or guardian's written permission. All of these events (whether online or in-person) are led and monitored by our professionally trained staff. Volunteers who attend and may assist minors have all been cleared with extensive background checks, and will not be alone with any minor at any time.

D. Any stories or testimonials that are about a minor will have their name changed to ensure privacy, unless written permission of use has been granted from a parent or guardian.

E. Direct contact with a minor outside of an organization structured and led event, program or service is prohibited, with only three exceptions:

1. Our team can send an email from our secure organization's server that is an invitation to a related to a program or event that the minor has expressed interest in in the past, or signed up to be notified about. All such emails should "CC" the parent or guardian, and if we do not have that information, a supervisor or manager will be CC'ed. This ensures all communication with minors has more than one person involved.

2. In the event that a minor makes direct contact with a team member, that team member can reply with a professional response that redirects that individual to furthering communication via their organization-provided email address.

3. For Eden Valley's therapists, case managers and licensed social workers direct contact with a minor who is a client is permitted when in compliance with local and federal laws.

This is by no means an exhaustive list, we have many other team-specific guidelines, restrictions and policies. We're continuing to expand on these policies and are open to your feedback and suggestions. Drop us a line about what else we should be more clear on, and we'll definitely follow up. team@revyouth.com

Ethics & Integrity

First of all, there is nothing more important in the world to any of our team than your child's safety and wellbeing. We put the most emphasis and care into ensuring each person involved with our team in any capacity is treated with utmost respect and maintained professional boundaries.

A. There should be absolutely no physical contact outside of a high-five or fist bump unless the child or young adult initiates a hug, and if that is a mutually comfortable gesture for the team member they request it from.

B. We discourage our volunteers and staff from connecting on a personal level with any young people, unless including another staff or volunteer in those meet-ups or communications. This is highly suggested but not required in a situation where all people involved are above the age of 18.

This is by no means an exhaustive list, we have several other team-specific guidelines, restrictions and policies. We're continuing to expand on these policies and are open to your feedback and suggestions. Drop us a line about what else we should be more clear on, and we'll definitely follow up. team@revyouth.com

Safety & Procedures

Your child or youth's safety is always our organization's top priority when they are in our care in any capacity. We reserve the right to refuse entry for anyone, for our in-person or virtual events. This policy is in place for reasons of security and concern of an individual's well-being, intentions and mental health. In every event of refusal, a parent or guardian will be made aware of our team member's concern and the reason for dismissal whenever possible. This policy is carefully monitored so to protect against any discrimination of race, creed, gender or nationality.

Under no circumstance will anyone be allowed to have a firearm or weapon in their possession at any of our in-person events. The only exception to this is an on-duty police officer, or a vetted and trained security professional who is actively employed or contracted by our organization or the venue in which we are holding an event.

We reserve the right to check any / all closed backpacks or bags, have attendees of an event or appointment walk through a metal detector or be inspected by another form of weapon-detection, and take reasonable and non-invasive measures to ensure everyone in attendance is as safe as possible.

Mandated Reporting

Our staff and most of our volunteers are mandated reporters. Please download or view this PDF to learn more about what that means and what our team is required to do in certain situations.
